If you were to take the approach that these companies are taking and include it into your existing Action Items, it would make Cubetree a full blown task management and assignment software to compete with the companies above.
What I would like to see is reporting on unassigned tasks, open and past due tasks that you have assigned to others, "ping" a co worker about an assigned task (like Producteev) for a status update.
I see that Outlook integration has already been requested and accepted, but I would like to bring that up here as well. We would love to be able to promote emails to Cubetree as a task and assign it to a person. For example, I have serveral purchasing alerts that come to me when something happens. I typically forward that to the purchasing agent, and then set myself a follow up reminder to make sure they handled it. This would be great to be able to promote that email to Cubetree and assign a task to the purchasing agent (or group).

Would like to see some utilities to easily manage a large number of tasks that does not require the use of an API. Examples include mass import and export as well as saving a group of tasks to act as a template. We are now using tasks to do UAT with a client and have created approx 150 tasks. These same tasks could easily be reused on other projects, but I fear we will need to key them in all over again

Just curious. Beth's note was 3 months ago....how is the beta coming? What can we expect?

I agree, it would be good to see more functionality within the Task system. For example, assign a task to a group, and allow the group to prioritize action the tasks.

It would be nice to be able to categorize Tasks using RACI charting techniques; that means assign each task an R(esponsible), A(ccountable), C(onsulted), or I(nformed). Should also have the ability to prioritize Tasks beyond just High, Medium, Low. I would suggest a 10-point numeric scale. Then users can either just 1,2,3 or all 10 or even 100! Why not?

We have recently started focusing on our task management capabilities. We appreciate your feedback and will consider adding some additional functionality in the next few releases.
Here is an overview of some of the things we have worked on lately. We have improved the Task Summary page (adding filters and labels to help organize), added Tasks quick links to the application bar (on the lower part of the browser window), added a nudge capability (similar to what you referred to as "ping") and... more

Tasks are currently associated with a user's Profile and we are in Beta with the ability to associate Tasks with groups. If you are still interested in participating in our Beta program, please contact support@cubetree.com.

Stephen,
I have additionally created at request for simple project management as well (http://cubetree.uservoice.com/pages/13349-general/suggestions/298641-simple-project-management). This would cover your requests about tasks against the goals.
Stephen Schwarz
wow, they can delete a task assigned to them, not good. How about a goal that contains multiple tasks. Ability to list all of the tasks to get to the end goal.
Ron Wilson
One other thing is that when you assign a task to someone, they can delete it without your knowledge. If I am using Cubetree to assign task to my employees, they can delete the task and I will never know.
