Is private / direct messages

Why do this in CubeTree versus sending an email or IM?

Direct messaging would be good on cube tree so you can keep all of your messaging elements in one place. Direct conversations are essential for collaborating.

I'd like to replace email with CT. I like the conversation flow of chat but I also like the ability to chime in on the conversation when I want. Private messages would be awesome.

IM adds a much needed string to the CubeTree bow. Better than email because it is quicker without the overhead. Email clogs up my mail server

  4. @Carlin: Thomas is damn right!

  5. Our users are also wondering if they can send a 1-line @person message to a their CubeTree inbox. It wouldn't be a bad idea.

@Carlin Because nobody wants to use an extra desktop application for every single task. We use AIM heavily at our company, but nobody would accept using an email client, a CubeTree client and an AIM client for the single purpose of communication. For us, quick direct messages are crucial. Yammer allows for a similar feature with @[user|group], it does not feel snappy enough, tough.

@Carlin - At the home page is seen "Better than Email" ... So am expecting everything that I can do in email in cubetree..
